I was a panelist in a discussion on a social policy project. Before my panel, there was a working meeting of participants deeply engaged in this field. In casual conversations during the break before my panel, one participant's name kept popping up: "He really nailed it," "He sees this much broader than anyone else," "Finally, someone said it that way," etc.

My panel starts, and after a few speakers, it's my turn. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice someone on my left nodding in significant approval. It turns out that the person on my left was the one frequently mentioned during the break. Later, I find out he's an alumnus of BOS and a mentor in the program. We had never met before.

Broad perspective. Comprehensive understanding. Knowledge. Instant grasp. All multiplied by 30 generations and the number of people in each generation.

That was BOS for me in 2004, it's the same today, and I have no doubts about the future.
