Spring Semester and Activities in Future Studies

During the first half of the spring semester, students had the opportunity to engage with new modules – Career Management and New World.

The New World module began with a lecture by Vuk Jeremić, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and former President of the UN General Assembly. The lecture covered changes in geopolitics, the current geopolitical recession, and ongoing crises. Goran Pitić, a professor and the Chair of the Council at the Faculty of Economics, Finance, and Administration, delivered a lecture titled “Đinđić’s Vision of Modern Serbia.” Students discussed the legacy of the 1990s, the changes that occurred in the 2000s, and the results of these changes. During Jovan Radaković's lecture, students learned the basics of cybersecurity, security threats, and tools to protect themselves as individuals. Professor Vanja Ković from the Faculty of Philosophy gave a lecture titled “How the Human Brain Works – An Insight/Introduction into the World of Current Neuroscientific Discoveries.” Discussing a complex topic, students had the opportunity to view the workings of the human brain from different angles, sparking significant discussion. Uroš Krčadinac, a digital artist, PhD in computer science, author, and educator, presented a lecture introducing his project Bantustan: An Interactive Atlas. This work, documenting the author's journey through Africa, features numerous hand-drawn maps and serves as an example of a multidisciplinary (digital-artistic-literary) project.

The Career Management module aims to equip students with skills to prepare them for the job market. The module was inaugurated with a lecture by Marija Milosavljević, a career counselor and project manager at the Belgrade Open School. In discussions with students, questions about career plans, goals, and necessary skills were addressed. In this spirit, in recent weeks, students have had the opportunity to attend lectures and participate in workshops and simulations focused on writing CVs and conducting job interviews. These workshops were prepared and conducted by Tamara Srećković and Milica Berić, who, thanks to their professional experience in HR, provided significant insights to the 31st generation of students.
