Beginning of the fall semester at Future Studies
In the past days, students of the XXXI generation of the Future Studies had the opportunity to listen to the first lectures and participate in the first workshops of this program.
The reformed Future Studies during the fall semester includes 3 modules - Knowledge for the Future, Skills for the Future and Psychological Support.
The executive director of the Belgrade Open School, Vesna Đukić, addressed the students, welcoming them.
The Knowledge for the Future module was opened by Srđan Verbić with the lecture "Future Studies, Science and Society". Students discussed education, models for predicting the future, as well as the role of artificial intelligence in creating the future. An excellent lecture sparked a thorough discussion, which allowed students to further deepen their thinking on these topics.
The skills of the future began with the "Rhetorical Workshop", led by Vladimir Pavićević. The goal of this module is to enable students to acquire specific skills that will help them in their professional progress, and in this spirit, the first workshop was focused on public speaking skills. In an interesting way and through different roles, the students were faced with certain obstacles that can arise during a public performance and speech, and they had the opportunity to discuss them later.
Students also started their "Psychological workshops", with psychologist Jana Stojanović. They had the opportunity to get to know each other better, and to begin with, talk about their emotions and thoughts.
After such a start, we expect a great continuation of the autumn semester through numerous lectures and workshops, which will enable students to acquire many new knowledge and skills, as well as to encounter topics they have not dealt with before, and expand their interests.
