Expected results of the project include:
- Regional networking is fostered and cooperation for evidence-based advocacy initiatives mainstreamed into regional GAWB policy dialogues;
- Engagement opportunities for CSOs to contribute to the implementation of the GAWB are capitalised upon;
- The capacity of CSOs and existing networks from six WB economies to engage in and advocate for inclusive implementation of the GAWB is strengthened;
- Understanding among citizens, public authorities, and the media is deepened regarding the challenges and opportunities in the WB region’s green transition.
The project will focus on improving the environment for transparent and participatory decision-making, as well as empowering citizens and civil society to advocate for a clean environment, responsible public authorities, and to engage in decision-making processes at the regional, national, and local levels.
Project activities will be implemented from December 1, 2024, to May 31, 2027, with financial support from the European Commission.
