In the desire to contribute to better opportunities and empower young people to become more employable and to get out of the NEET status, the Belgrade Open School has been implementing a project since 2021 that aims to improve the work methods and tools of practitioners who come into contact with this category of young people, or who plan to open their regular services to young people who need additional support on their way to employment.
To exchange internship, present the achieved results and lessons learned from internship through direct work with young people and with those who provide career, advisory, entrepreneurial, and other types of support, in the period from September 19th to 20th, in the premises of the Mladihub, in Skopje, a partner meeting of the project consortium was held.
Special emphasis was placed on the inspiring stories of young people who managed to overcome the challenges of NEET status and through the project take their first entrepreneurial steps. These stories serve as inspiration and motivation for other young people but also encourage those who work with and for young people to continue using the developed tools and methods that have a positive impact on young people who are in the process of looking for work or considering venturing into entrepreneurial waters.
The host of the meeting was the National Youth Council of Macedonia (NYCM).
The project Strengthening support structures for young people in the NEET situation in the field of Entrepreneurship is coordinated by the SOS Pulse group from France, and in addition to the Belgrade Open School, the project partners are the Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories (AVITEM), France, Chamber of Commerce, Teresa, Spain, Local Marseille mission, France and National Youth Council, North Macedonia.
The project is implemented within the Erasmus + program in the period from 1.11.2021 to 1.01.2024.
