As part of the "Green Generation: Schools Engaged in Climate Action" project, a partner meeting was held in Skopje on September 2nd and 3rd, bringing together organizations from *Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Serbia. This meeting marks the beginning of the second year of the project’s implementation and provides an opportunity to meet new colleagues who will contribute to its realization this year.
The two-day meeting focused on reviewing the activities carried out in the previous year and planning upcoming actions.On the first day, partners presented achievements and results, while plans for the current year were elaborated. Special attention was given to creating guidelines for project implementation, with a detailed activity plan for all partners.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to improving communication and the campaign. A communication plan was developed, and protocols were established to ensure more efficient information exchange between partners, which will significantly enhance collaboration and coordination in the upcoming phases of the project. This improvement in the communication system will enable faster and better information exchange, raising the level of organization and implementation of planned activities.
Concrete agreements were reached regarding the next steps each partner will take to achieve the shared goals. Through interactive workshops, participants devised strategies for better organizing workshops aimed at teaching staff, students, parents, and local government representatives in the communities where the project is implemented. Additionally, ways of evaluating achieved results and key indicators were discussed, along with lessons learned from previous project phases.
Particular emphasis was placed on integrating green topics into all aspects of the workshops. All participants expressed satisfaction with the agreements made and optimism about future activities, expecting that the collaboration will further strengthen partnerships between schools and local communities.The "Green Generation: Schools Engaged in Climate Action" project is being implemented by the Belgrade Open School in cooperation with the National Youth Council of Macedonia, the Roma and Egyptian Youth Movement (Albania), Bonevet from Gjakova (*Kosovo), and the Center for Ecology and Energy from Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
