The Belgrade Open School organized a final training session for partners in the first year of the program "Civil Society Advancing Serbia’s EU Accession Process – Europe ASAP."
During the three-day training, held in Šabac from May 15th to 17th, partners had the opportunity to evaluate the program and propose ideas for improvement.
The first day of the training was dedicated to dialogue with partners on the topic of European integration: discussions about the region. Assistant Professor Dr. Ivana Radić Milosavljević provided an overview and discussion, reminding partners of the current status of the accession process and the progress of countries in the region regarding accession negotiations. The discussion revolved around public opinion research results in Western Balkan countries about the European Union. Current Growth Plan for the Western Balkans was mentioned and questioned possible scenarios for the Western Balkan countries. Is full membership the only possible scenario for the Western Balkan countries?
When it comes to evaluation, it is important for BOS to hear how partners view the programs and cooperation within the program. Therefore, second day was dedicated to program and management evaluation. Representatives of civil society organizations and media had the opportunity to share their uncertainties, ask questions, and provide feedback on program management through the World Café method. Feedback is significant, and BOS strive to improve its programs, conditions, and implementation based on it. The second day continued with presentations on our partners' projects, from platform work to public procurement and investigative stories. We learned about the results of the partners' projects through presentations, videos, portals, and databases.
On the third and final day of the training, sessions were held to prepare partners for the final narrative and financial reporting that awaits us. Through Q&A sessions, presentations, and photographs, representatives of civil society organizations and media became familiar with the requirements, forms, and tables they will need to submit.
We wish our partners a successful completion of their projects!
