As part of the "Green Generation – Schools Engaged for Climate Action" project, a Bazaar of Green Ideas was held at Vladika Nikolaj Velimirović Elementary School in Valjevo. At this event, which gathered a large number of students, 17 teams with over 80 participants were presented, who demonstrated their ideas and solutions for environmental protection through their mini-projects.
The topics covered at the Bazaar were wide-ranging, covering both local and global environmental challenges. Students dealt with topics such as river conservation, air pollution reduction, recycling, and access to green technologies. Through their project, each team provided an original and innovative approach to solving environmental problems, using knowledge and skills acquired through green workshops previously organized in their schools.
The Bazaar of green ideas was not only an opportunity to present projects, but also for students to get to know each other, exchange experiences and ideas, and further educate themselves about the importance of environmental protection. All present had the opportunity to see how engaged and motivated young people are to contribute to the protection of nature and the improvement of environmental awareness in their communities.
The Bazaar of Green Ideas represents only one step in achieving the goals of the "Green Generation – Schools Engaged for Climate Action" project, and the results and ideas heard at this event represent a valuable contribution to the fight to preserve the environment and create a healthier and more sustainable environment for all of us.
The "Green Generation – Schools engaged for climate action" project is implemented by the Belgrade Open School in cooperation with the National Youth Council of Macedonia (North Macedonia), the organization Bonevet from Djakovica, (*Kosovo), and the organization Reset - Center for Sustainable Energy Transition (Sarajevo).
