Belgrade Open School implemented the project named "Strengthening the framework for monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the Republic of Serbia - the dimension of environmental protection."

The goal of the project was to support the Republic Statistical Office to improve the framework for collecting data on indicators of Sustainable Development Goals related to the environment in order to monitor and measure progress, as well as reporting on the implementation of 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals.

In order to achieve this goal, the folowing project activities were implemented:

1. Conducting an analysis of the availability of environmental indicators;
2. Organization of a workshop that brought together institutions identified as potential providers of data for indicators of Sustainable Development Goals and the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia in order to improve cooperation and exchange the experiences in data collection and submission;
3. Preparation of contributions for the updated version of the Progress Report on the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 in the Republic of Serbia.

This project was funded by the United Nations Environment Programme. Project activities had begun in April 2021 and lasted until November 30 of the same year.
