As a result of the advocacy initiatives of BOS in the field of career guidance and counseling, the topic of career guidance was on the agenda of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs for 2020. At the initiative of the Ministry, with the technical and financial support of the project "Education to Employment (E2E)" the Belgrade Open School provides expert support through the realization of trainings with the aim of enabling all actors involved in career guidance and counseling within various sectors and systems become familiar with CGC standards, and improve their services and activities based on that, in order to provide and ensure the highest quality CGC services.
In 2022, 5 live trainings were conducted in Belgrade for representatives of the national employment service from various branches throughout Serbia, as well as for representatives of the business sector such as specialized employment agencies. The trainings are conducted in accordance with the Recommendations for the implementation of the Plan for the Implementation of CGC Service Standards adopted by the Council for the National Framework of Qualifications. Through this type of training, career practitioners from the ranks of consultants in the national service, specialists in recruitment and selection and employee development became more familiar with the Standards of career guidance and counseling services and strengthened their application in daily work with different users.
During 2023, the Belgrade Open School team will work on the development of a manual for career practitioners on the subject of the implementation of the Standard of Career Guidance and Counseling Services, as well as on the implementation of training for employees of employment agencies that will provide career support to their users.
